Tenderometer Tuesday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
Since we're a little short on weather here on the left coast, things like our wind event yesterday have to qualify. So pic #1 is a shot of the inner harbor over by Quality Seafood (May Miss Patty rest in peace.) Looks like a root beer float with all the spindrift that floated up the harbor entrance and got blown around the corner. There was a kingfisher sitting on a boat viewing the gunk, with a look on his face that said, "What the hell is goin' on here?"
Not windy from the get-go this morning, but things were still bumped a bit. Clear skies and 20+ miles visibility, with light winds out of the north at 5.1kts. The air temperature was 60.3˚ and the water got blown down to 55.6˚. High tide is at 9:34am +4.7' and low tide will be at 3:23pm +0.5'. The buoy is showing a west swell out of 281˚ at 6.9' at an 8 to 10 second interval. Kinda close together. We're gonna call it 5' to 7' and maybe it still needs a bit more calming before it's deluxe. Check'em out in the am!
#2 photo is the Hermosa Plaza. You can see that the wind deposited a serious amount of sand all the way down the promenade. Rumor has it that they found three b-girls covered up across from Sharkeez. They said that they thought someone had just covered them up and they went to sleep. Happens all the time...
