The Revolution May or May Not Be Televised Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Okay scouts, here we are at the Anahulu Bridge (#1), more commonly known as the Haleiwa Bridge waiting for a chance to dive off in the moonlight.  From L. to R.  Queen Lélani Burke, Anaconda and LoLa herself.

In the South Bay we have overcast skies and 9 miles visibility (#2).  Winds are slightly onshore at 1 to 2kts and the sea surface is smooth.  The air temp was 66.3º and the water has dipped again to 68.0º which makes it feel like 60.  High tide at 10:24am +4.2' and low tide follows at 3:02 for an uninspiring +2.1' drain.  We have a SSW swell out of 193º at 2.6' and it was 2' to 3' with some well-shaped rising tide lines.  Bacallao was riding his blue single fin and surfing like he invented the sport...  hats off!

Two things are always special about Hawaii:  the rainbows and the sunsets.  In #3 we have a nice rainbow shot with the pot-of-gold on Val's Reef and Kaena Point floating exactly where you might find Palos Verdes at home.  #4 has the Professor and Anaconda bidding adieu to the islands and saluting the rising moon.

Things are getting a tad hectic due to to some pending nuptials.  That being the case, the report may be a bit sporadic for the next couple of weeks.  The surf has been consistent, so hit it and we'll see you on and off for a couple of weeks!

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
