Turn Yourself In Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

We have an archival photo of the Professor splashin' along at Roca Sunzal in El Salvador...  Kinda reminded us of the Cove this morning, but with about 20 more degrees of water temp...

A beautiful morning as the sun came up in a dither over Hermosa Beach.  We were up early to watch the So. Bay Surf League Preliminaries.  About 22 miles visibility and some high haziness.  Winds were offshore by 5.2kts and the sea surface was smooth, but not quite glassy.  The air temperature was a chilly 47.7° and the water continues to hold at 58.5°.  High tide was at 9:08am +6.2' and low tide was at 4:13pm -0.9'.  We have a WSW swell out of 251° on the board as 3.3'.  We'll call it 3' to 4' and maybe some thicker ones on the outside.

If you'd rather watch some surfing in the morning instead of going to that boring day job, drop by Hermosa Pier and watch the second half of the So. Bay Surf League Prelims.  There'll be Boys Long Boarding, Body Boarding, and Girls Long and Short Board competitions.  Fun starts at 7am and goes until 9:30am.

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
