Bacon Is The Duct Tape Of Food Wednesday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
We were corrected this morning by Danger Boy who said the proper name for the section of supply pipe leading to a power generation station was a "penstock" and not a "pinstock." However, the section of pipe featured this morning is typically called a "siphon" even though it is technically a "sag pipe." Tio Ted is shown calculating the angle and apparent pressure generated by this rise. A couple more degrees and the pipe would be sucked flat! Don't laugh, your water is flowing through this puppy...
So it's overcast and looks like June is supposed to look. 7 miles visibility on the average. Wind is out of the SW by 5.1kts and the sea surface has a light chop. The air temperature is 61.4˚ and the water is 66.4˚. High tide is scheduled for 8:52am +3.6' and low tide will be at 1:44pm +1.8'. We have a SSW swell out of 203˚ at 2.6' and we're looking at 1' to 2' waves, trying to make it through the tide... It's supposed to be better maƱana... Check'em out...
Find LoLa in this picture. Hint: This is the only photo we have where she isn't at the very top of whatever peak, obstacle or promontory that we surveyed...
