Thinking Man's/Woman's Thursday Surf Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

One place that always guarantees to raise a crowd is the Breakwall on a big swell...

Clear skies this morning and 15 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore, carrying the aroma of frying bacon all the way out to the lineup at 6.0kts.  Despite the bacon the sea surface remained smooth...  The air was an unecessarily brisk 43.9 and the water tried to help out at 58.3.  For comparison Boston was 51...  High tide was at 7:46am +5.9' and low tide will follow at 2:53pm -0.8'.  We have a WSW swell out of 258º at 3.3'.  It was a steady 4' with some bigger outsides...

So for every person in the water there were ten watching.  That puts the crowd at about 50 or 60... (not that anyone gives a shit about crowd size...)  Matt Parker was all alone on this one.
