Jump In The Water Come Down In Slow Motion Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Our "Dive Master" Ms. LoLa (#1), heading to the kelp beds on eastern Catalina...  Spent a great day on the island with, Ginny, Milly, Lina and Riley, snorking the area just beyond Descanso Beach.  The water was a little chilly at 66º, but the crew suited up and made a couple of forays into the forest.  Thanks to Sancho, we caught some great underwater shots of the girls.  The afternoon was capped with ice cream for everyone and a green flash on the way home!  It appears that this is turning into an annual event so, get your pencils ready...

A beautiful morning with hazy sun and 10 miles visibility.  Winds were light offshore, 1 to 3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was a fall-ish 59.9º and the air is likewise cool at 66.9º.  It broke though high tide at 8:19am +4.8' and low tide was at 1:36pm +1.8'.  We have a WSW swell out of 259º at 3.0' and it was like that with a couple of thicker outsides.  Forecast is saying the same for the tomorrow morning, so let's hope someone told the waves...
