Wood Eye Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Somehow photo #1 reminded us of old Hermosa.  Long sloping lines and ample room for a nose ride if you decided not to stand tall and do nothing at all...

Beautiful day with 20+ miles visibility and winds out of the ESE by 3 to 4kts.  The sea surface has a bit of a roll.  The air temperature was 55.0º and the water is trying to recover from the windy conditions at 57.7º.  High tide is at 8:48am +5.6' and low tide will be at 3:16pm -0.6'.  We have a WSW swell out of 240º at 4.3' and it looks bigger than that at 4' to 6' and some fun peaks.

#2) Features Asher Vollom on this sweet little left into the pier.  We snapped this shot and he immediately went to the nose and hung 5 all the way to the pier!

#3)  Breaking through the office a bit of a wide-stanced approach to this nice peak.  Could have been a little more casual, which is easy to say while watching from the pier.

"OUTSIDE" and up!  As these two V-22 Ospreys (#4) flew over the lineup, much to the delight of all assembled.  A pretty common sight near San Diego, it's always a treat to see them here...

Thanks to everyone who wished us well for the cataract surgery.  It appears to be healing well and I should be in the water in a couple of weeks!
