Armistice Day Tuesdy Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...

Well, we're closing in on the 11th month, 11th day and 11th hour and thinking about all of those veterans over the years. Quite a parade. Let's honor their commitment and see what we can do to keep us out of trouble in the future.
A beautiful day and lots of folks not working this morning. 25 miles visibility and clear skies with little haze. Winds are off shore by 3.9kts and the sea surface is glassy clean. The air temperature is 59.2f and the water is 61.5f. Let's see how long we can stay in the 60's! High tide is at 7:10am +6.1' and low tide will be at 2:04pm -0.5'. So throughout the morning it's going to be dropping pretty quickly. The buoy is reading 4.3' and the waves are a solid 4' when the break. This morning's session featured a lot of sitting and waiting for the right wave. They needed some size to hit the sand bar on the outside of the break. Sting Ginther and the Professor elected to wait for some of the mackers on the outside of the 1st pole north of the volleyball court. They were rewarded with a few rather long rides. It was getting better around 9:30, but then the wind started to change and now it's definitely on-shore.
