Merry Christmas Monday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
You know how you get these great Christmas cards, with these perfect looking families on them and you wonder how long it took them to pose for the pic. Well, we had some coffee with the Maggios as they stuffed their Christmas cards into envelopes and mailed them around the world. We took this photo to prove that not all families look perfect all the time and dammit, they still look pretty damned perfect!
It's raining this morning and we have about three-quarters of a mile visibility. Winds are out of the southwest by 7.3kts and the sea surface is smooth and mottled from the light rain. The air temperature is 57.2℉ and the water is 59.2℉. High tide is at 5:43am +5.4' and low tide will be at 1:06pm +0.2', setting us up for afternoon minus tides for the rest of the week. The buoy is reading a 3.0' swell coming out of 266 degrees. The high tide is floating it to 2' and it's not looking like it's worth braving the persistent rain/drizzle.
Since we're here to help, we've decided you needed some tips on last minute gifts. Try out these top ten items. Actually, there are eleven. We couldn't pass up the wide screen glasses! Most are reasonably priced and would make you look like you put some thought into the process. At this late date that would be a plus...
We'll see you in the morning and let's hope the surf gets a tad bigger for Christmas!
