Vernal Equinox Wednesday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
Watching the sun go down at 7:05pm or there abouts on the first day of Spring 2013.
Cloudy skies this morning and 7 miles visibility through the persistent haziness. Winds were onshore, from just about the get-go at 4.1kts and the sea surface was a bit roughed up, but no real chop. The air temperature was 54.7˚ and the water was 57.2˚ with some warmer spots outside. High tide was early at 4:31am +4.0' and low tide will be at 12:21pm +0.7'. Tides are starting to get back into the typical sine pattern, with some 6' differentiations late next week. We have a SSW swell out of 200˚ at 2.3', mixing with a south swell straight out of 185˚ at 2.1' creating less than a 1' cross-hatched wind assisted ankle-snapping shore wash. Not so good...
