A Veterans Day Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Sometimes black and white tells you everything you need to know about an image.  Keianu Diers perched purposely on the nose.  Great hair by the way...

The season's first DRIZZLE WATCH, began at midnight and continued throughout the morning.  Various reports came from correspondents in every corner of the South Bay and as far away as Hawthorne Blvd. (the west side of the street) .  Scattered drops were observed, driving conditions were thrown into chaos and dozens of citizens removed their sunglasses in order to get a better look at the surf.  Things will be worse in the morning...

We were so flummoxed by the overcast yesterday that we couldn't even pull out a report.  Still overcast this morning with 7.5miles visibility.  Winds were out of the SE by 2.5kts and the sea surface was smooth to glassy.  The air temperature was 61.3˚ and the water is 67.6˚.  Low tide was early at 5:06am +2.9' and high tide was at 11:09am +5.1'.  We have a west swell out of 267˚ at 2.3' and it was 2' to 4' on the outside...

Always fun to have a different perspective, in this case it's what most of us see from the water.    Tate Curran (shown here) gliding down the line, through the sun and out the other side...
