Just A Little Pissed Off Thursday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
Our cable service has sucked over the last week! In the last 5 days we have just been able to send out a report. Called Time/Warner and hoping the tech they're sending over will have an answer... Please...
So, it would have been a full-moon Monday if we had sent a report. One of the advantages of getting up at O'Dark-Thirty is that you get to catch some of these captivating celestial events...
The sky is partly cloudy and we have about 10 miles visibility. Wind was on-shore at checkout, blowing lightly at 1.8kts and leaving a bit of bump on the waters. The air temp was 58.5˚ and the water at the buoy was 60.4˚. We have to report that at the Hermosa Pier, Lottie the Lifeguard had just posted a 64˚ on the board. 64˚! What global warming? Low tide is at 6:25am +0.3' and high tide will follow at 12:30pm +3.6'. We have a west swell out of 265˚ at 2.3' and it's 1' to 2' and not looking too deluxe.
Oh yeah, it's the Vernal Equinox... Don't worry these things even out.
Now it could have been a Happy St. Patrick's Day Monday as well. Here we have the crew waiting for the Hermosa St. Paddy's Day parade to begin. From L to R it's LoLa, Miss Lilly (who insisted on wearing pink), Rebecca, CoCo Noodle-Sorensen, Monroe, and Javan-the-Snowboarder.
