Junk Mail Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

We were walking through the factory the other day and we stopped, we hate to say this, dead in our tracks.  We thought it was the grim reaper checking out his new surfboard.  Turns out it was none other than Jetski checking out his new board and just glorying in the details, the whiteness of the freshly mown foam and the perfectly subtle symmetry of the entire package...

But we shook him out of his reverie and we hit the water at Hermosa under blue, cloudless skies with 20 miles visibility.  Winds were strong offshore by 8.1kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 53.6º early, warming to 69º midday.  the water was 59.5º at the buoy and a posted 62 at the pier.  High tide was at 9:29am +5.8' and low tide was at 4:22pm -0.7'.  We have a west swell out of 260º at 3.9'.  It was 4' with some bigger outsides and peaky high tide conditions.
