Here we are again dipping into the winter temps! But if you want some real fall/winter temps go up north to Niagara Falls with Tom and Kathy and get locked in this tube (#1) until it freezes sometime in December! Nice yellow wetsuit Kathy! So, morning temps have been running right around the mid-sixties. This morning it was 55.5º and the water is down to 62.1º. Clear skies, but the wind at 5 to 10kts and freshening, has driven the water temp down to 62.1º. High tide at 8:16am +5.4' and low tide at 2:35pm +0.8'. It's a rockin' west swell out of 271º at 6.6' and it looks like a rugged 5' to 7'. Laurie tried to standup paddle out and didn't make it outside. Laurie is a world class canoe paddler and if she can't make it outside neither can we...
Possibly the next session of the South Bay Scholastic Surf League's "Kickoff Classic" tomorrow starting at 6:30am on the southside of the Hermosa Pier. Great Prep surfing if you can weather the cold!
