No Flies Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Winding down our visit to one of the most idyllic island chains ever to be anchored in the Pacific.  We don't remember the exact Mark Twain quote, but it was something akin to that.  If you haven't read Mark Twain's account of his journey to Hawaii it's worth a read.  It's called "Letters from Hawaii" and it recounts his four month visit and the 25 letters he wrote from the "Sandwich Islands".

Foggy in the South Bay this morning with visibility down to a hundred yards in some places, like the Hermosa Pier.  Winds were light out of he south and the sea surface is invisible.  The air was 64.4 and the water is 63.0 at the buoy.  High tide was at 6:50am +4.4' and low tide follows at 12:00pm +2.9'.  It's a mysteriously fog shrouded SSW swell out of 198 degrees at 2.3' and it's 1' to 2' and poor to lousy.

Back on Monday!
