Smiling Tiki Thursday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
So here we are (#1) on the Southwest side of Oahu, west of Pearl Harbor and east of Barber's Point. We had just gotten out of the water and were watching the swells pound on the rocky ledges that are on that side of the island. It's always cool to see Diamond Head floating there on the horizon, looking like Hawai'i is supposed to. That's mostly because unless you blow up the photo you can't see all of the hotels chasing Diamond Head into the ocean…
Foggies creeping into the South Bay. Visibility down to 200yds in some spots with a light onshore wind blowing the moisture in. The air temp is 65.5 and the water is 63.1 at the buoy. High tide was at 6:16am +4.1' and low tide follows quickly at 10:39am +3.4'. A small SSW swell out of 202 degrees is coming in at 2.3' and hitting the beach at 1' to 2'.
