They're B - A - C - K Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

We hope they're signalling warmer water, the ever popular Velella Velella (#1) have returned in great numbers to beach themselves on these eastern Pacific shores.  The ones that have their sails go the other diagonal end up on the western Pacific.  We can't remember who told us that, but that's our story and we're sticking to it...

Cloudy skies with 10 miles visibility.  Winds wee light onshore 1 to 5kts and the sea surface sported a bit of texture.  The air temperature was 55.5, but felt chillier without the sun and the water is 59.5, up a couple of degrees from last week.  High tide is at 11:01am +3.7' and low tide will be at 4:05pm +1.6'.  It's a SSW swell out of 199 at 2.6' and it was 3' with some mushy corners fading into an inside hole then a tricky reform on the inside.  Some folks were making it look rather enticing...

We understand Atomic (sort of) and we know what a Cow is, but we have no idea why there would be an Atomic Cow (#2) selling ice cream, shakes and food.  It's an udder mystery...
