Lost Boys & Co... A pparently if a woman wants a man to look her in the eyes all she has to do is take off all of her clothes.  Here (#1) we have the Professor, at the talk given by Paul Roustan on body painting at the VEFA Gallery, looking directly into her peepers.  There will be new show soon at the VEFA Gallery, but we've been told there is no nudity.  We'll go anyway... O vercast to partly cloudy skies this morning and 14 miles visibility.  Winds were out of the SSE at 1 to 3kts and there was some light texture on the water.  The air was 62.3 º and the water is 65.8 º .  High tide is at 10:58am +3.8' and low tide will be at 3:27pm +2.0'.  It's a SW swell out of 221 º at 4.3'.  It turned ragged fairly quickly, even though it was in the 3' to 5' range. I n photo #2 we have an original Bahne Surfboard that was owned by the late and extraordinary Doug Hap.  By all accounts it's never been ridden and Marie, his wife would like to find i...

N ow everything looks like a wavepool.  MoMo and the Professor made a quick Sapphire strike this morning just as the tide was dropping.  There were like 4 people out and this little peak kept rolling through next to the rocks.  If that wasn't enough they had breakfast at the Redondo Brothers!  The hats there read, "Hecho En Redondo!" A bit of overcast burning off and 14miles visibility.  Winds were light offshore 1 to 3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was 62.3 º and the water is a summery 65.1 º .  High tide was at 7:01am +3.99' and low tide follows at 12:41pm +0.8'.  It's a west swell out of 264 º at 3.3' and it was 3' and maybe a little fatter. W e got this art shot of the fog rolling in at Hermosa (#2) on Wednesday.  Wishing we could make it look a bi...

Lost Boys & Co... A quariums are expensive so we thought we'd create our own version without the heaters, pumps or water.  Clockwise from the top we have a Lightning Tailed Red Headed Tang, a Striped Charlie Tuna Grouper, a Black Tailed Spiked Albacore, Silver Winged Manta and a Copper Finned Gordo Cod.   A beautiful morning with 10 miles visibility under a hazy sun.  Winds were light out of the SE at 1 to 5kts and the sea surface was smooth until 9am when the wind changed and blew things out.  The air was 55.5 º and the water is a comfortable 64.0 º .  High tide was at 5:50am +3.9' and low tide will follow at 12:00pm +0.6'.  It was a 3.0' swell out of SW 235 º and it was that in the surfline. O ur own Brendan "the Cat" Simmons hand made some pasta (#2) and needed some volunteers to try it out.  Here we have Milly checking to see if a watched pot really doesn't boil.  She finally turned away so we could have dinner.  Predictably i...
