There is nothing quite so satisfying as looking down and finding the most captivating pattern in the sand (#1). When we took this photo it was as crisp and perfect as mechanically possible. By the time you're reading this it's probably been stepped on, wind blown and dissolved by the tide. But for a moment it really was pretty astounding...
A beautiful morning with mostly clear skies and at least 12 miles visibility. Winds started out offshore by 1 to 3kts and then confused themselves and turned into a near gale about 9:30. You didn't have to worry about paddling in, it blew you to the beach and all you had to do was hang on. The air was 53.9º and the water was 62.8º with some warm spots. Low tide opened up the morning at 5:19am -0.3' and high tide filled in at 11:57am +3.2'. It's a west swell out of 271º at 3.6' and it was a consistent 3' to 5' with some macking outsides.
There has got to be a better way to carry your shoes when you're skating (#2). This gives you the impression that he is anticipating falling on his ass and doesn't want to Marcel his shorts. Maybe he does a lot of skating backwards and he's willing to spare some shoe leather when he hits a crack. Maybe he puts a burrito in each shoe and has them later. There's so much going on here that we were left mostly speechless, but not entirely...
