Technical Difficulties Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Nobody wants to hear about your technical difficulties.  WELL, we spent the better part of the morning trying to add a name to the list with absolutely no luck.  It turned out we didn't have our screen set to the proper size, so it wouldn't show the criteria for which we were looking.  Boo Hoo...

Speaking of size and we do so with some caution, since we were reprimanded for describing a person in archaic terms of girth, here (#1) we have Jimmy Young who is visiting the South Bay to participate in the paddle out for Greg Browning on Saturday.  We are now describing Jimmy as "strong."

Hazy skies this morning with mostly sunny conditions (#2) and 14 miles visibility.  Winds were offshore early and once again turned from the south in a moderately aggressive manner around 9am.  Ask Doc.  The air temp was 55.2º and the water is 60.8º although it felt more like 63-64º.  Low tide was at 6:00am -0.4' making for an interesting fin dragging paddle out.  High tide is at 12:52pm +3.1'.  We have a west swell out of 261º at 3.3' and it was 3' to 4' and cute to adorable...
