Lost Boys & Co... T he local "PetroSol" gasoline station had this great mural (#1) on one side of the parking lot. The PetroSol is a great player in the community.  Besides gasoline and automotive fluids and service, they have a restaurant and a large screen TV that shows major sporting events for the community!  There can be two or three hundred people tail-gating there for a big futbol game... Take It Easy Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co... T he island of Roatan floats in the western Caribbean, below Belize, east of Honduras.  It includes part of the great coral reef system that starts near Belize and ends up with the islands south of Roatan proper.  You can pretty quickly ascertain that there isn't much wave action in this part of the world.  All of the fetches are relatively small, hundreds not thousands of miles, or blocked by not inconsequential barriers like Cuba or the Antilles.  But on the other hand it includes some of the best diving/snorkeling in the world.  Honestly, that was enough to pique our interest, but we also thought, "Well there might be something rideable out there!"  (#1) So here's our accommodations at Infinity Bay.  The reef is close enough to swim to and on the outside the wall drops down to about 170' and then like 700' beyond that.  When you get to that edge, it's like you've jumped off into the Grand Canyon and are flying over...

Lost Boys & Co... O kay partners!  We're back from the hinterlands.  Although riding herd, bucking hay and mending fence isn't exactly our cup of tea, we had a great time.  Visited the Ewing ranch "Southfork" (#1) in N.E. Texas and paid our respects to J.R. and the Ewings that have passed (#2).  We managed to get some of the locals to join us for a photo op (#3) and here we have (back row, L. to R:  LoLa, the Professor, Fast Nathan, Joey the Sensei.  front row: JRS, Lilly Panda Cheeseburger, Anaconda Burke and Suzi.) S ome good ones moving through fast this morning (#4) and this one looked better than most.  The high tide helped slow things down a skosh.  A few clouds with 15 miles visibility.  Winds were light offshore by 3.3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was a brisk 50.2 and the water is cool at 61.7.  High tide was at 8:49pm +7.1' and low tide was at 3:57pm -1.4'.  We have a west swell out of 260ยบ at...

Twice The Moustache Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co... T here are probably a lot of reasons to go see "Murder on the Orient Express" but as far as we're concerned it was worth the price of admission just to see Hercule Poirot's mustaches (#'s 1 & 2.)  Amazing!  Fabulous!  Bitchin'!  He even had a facial mask to protect them while he slept!  We strained to see if they were pasted on during the close-ups, but for all it's worth they look like Branagh grew them for the part...  Okay, we should'a paid better attention - we're not even sure who the murderer was... A beautiful fall morning here in LaLa Land!  10 miles visibility and only a few laggardly clouds.  The air was a chilly 51.5 and the water was comparatively warm at 64.8.  High tide was at 6:34am +5.7' and low tide will be at 12:58pm +0.7'.  We have a 2.6' SSW swell out of 200ยบ true.  It was 2' to 3' and some pretty fun little growlers.  Capitan Donaldo, Morgan and the Professor we're catching...
