Lost Boys & Co...

We'll be heading out this Sunday (more on that a bit later), but we didn't want to have Morgan's (#1) birthday go unheralded!  It's actually the 10th, but as Ronnie has demonstrated, there's no shame in celebrating on multiple days.  She remains our hero and we wish her many more trips around our mid-sized, but not insignificant star...

David might have been holding forth on the miraculously small size of the surf that now caresses our shores.  Though it's a beautiful day and there are some picturesque clouds gliding along the firmament, winds are already onshore and the sea surface has a pronounced wind tack.  The air temp was 68.0º and the water is 71.8º at the buoy, but the lifeguards have it as 76.0º on the pier.  They wouldn't lie to us, would they?  High tide was at 7:04am +3.0' and before you could say "Johnny Appleseed," it was low at 9:47am +2.8'.  It's a south swell out of 187º at 1.6' and it's really small...

Here we have Sancho and the Professor (#3) taking a break before they head out to Majorca and Spain.  The stated reason for their journey is to catch the eclipse on the north side of the island. Eclipse chasing can be chancy, but they appear to be prepared for any irregularities.  Speaking of irregularities, their trip is bookended with a visit to Buñol and the "La Tomatina", which is advertised as the world's biggest tomato fight.  We'll see about that!  Until then, expect the report to be sporadic and we'd hope more culture than usual...  Back on September 3rd...
