Had the best bacallao (codfish, yes they named it after Jose) that we’ve had since we went to Marco’s uncle’s restaurant in Raimonda.  Baked with scalloped potatoes that melted in your mouth and some tomato bits thrown in.  To wash it down?  Some Tinto d’ Verano, which is red wine mixed with limeade.  Quite refreshing. Looking over at this lifeguard tower (#1), it’s about two and half stories tall and has a ladder that could evicerate a descending lifeguard.  Great view of the beach, snazzy architecture but a little impractical.  Then they have to run across the rocks…

Meanwhile, Hermosa is bracing for a hot weekend.  Hazy sun with 14 miles visibility.  Winds light out of the west and the sea surface is smooth.  High tide is at 10:28am +4.6’ and low tide follows at 4:00pm +1.3’.  The water is 75.2 at the buoy!  It’s a south swell out of 184deg at 3.3’ and it’s 1’ to 2’ and kinda underwhelming…

Here (#2) we have the average grain of sand on the beach in Alitea.  Some are marginally smaller and others can be a tad larger.  You would think that after millennium of rolling around on the beach, they would have ground themselves into Hermosa-like grains, but NO!  It’s like walking out to the break at Malibu doing the rock dance.  Great for throwing though…

Finally, we have this shot (#3) of a Barber Surf Rake™️ stumbling along the very stones we showed you.  It sounded like hail on a tin roof.  We have no idea what they thought they were raking, but they did it with such determination we had to applaud them…

Lost Boys & Co... W hat has this man (#1) been smoking?  Or eating?  Well, that looks like a pozole mustache!  It is pozole season and the mustaches are in... V isibility was a cool 20 miles this morning under clear skies.  Winds were light offshore 1 to 5kts and the sea surface is smooth.  The air was a below-brisk 49.9 º and the water is 62.4 º .  Low tide started off the morning at 5:37am +2.1' and high tide was at 11:25am +5.1'.  It's a west swell out of 264 º at 3.0' and it held all the way to the beach (#3) with some corners for the discrete.  Conditions meshed pretty well for some good sessions. panorama, pre-sunrise, (#2) from the lifeguard headquarters to the end of PV.  Some of these winter morning make for spectacular sunrises...  A  ✠ "When the surf breaks, we'll fix it" The Professor!!

Gays Of Hormuz Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co... T ired of hearing about the Straights of Hormuz... C loudy, gray (#1) and on shore winds 3 to 7kts.  The sea surface is a bit tacked.  The air temperature is 58.0 º  and the water has risen to 60.1 º  in an heroic attempt to lure us back into the sea.  One low tide at 10:31am +1.0'.  It's a 2.3' west swell out of 270 º  and it's an inconsistent 2' to 3' on some of the new sand bars. A lright good citizens!  So how do they come up with generic names for these wonder drugs?  Like this:   The assignment of a generic name, also known as an International Nonproprietary Name (INN), is a global effort coordinated by the World Health Organization (WHO) through its INN Programme. This program establishes unique and universally accepted names for pharmaceutical substances to avoid confusion and enhance patient safety. Generic names are designed to be distinctive in sound and spelling, avoiding similarity with existing trademarks or other drug names.  A bit onshore from the get-go, with winds in the 2 to 6kts range.  Made for some bump out there under cloudy skies.  It started out at 58.0 º  and honestly kept dropping for the early morning.  The water was marginally warmer at 61.5 º .  High tide was at 8:09am +3.5' and low tide will be at 1:13pm ...
