Very Small Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Well, it's that time of year again when they move the lifeguard towers halfway up the beach to keep them from getting washed away in the winter storms.  Since pink is not part of the pride flag the Department of Beaches sent out the tractor with pink rims (#1) to haul the Pride Tower up the beach.  We have no idea if this was intentional or not, but all of the pink people liked it.

Another day with clear skies and 20+ miles visibility.  Winds were light offshore and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was 56.3º and the water was 64.2º, but the swimmers said that there were some cold spots outside the surf line.  High tide was at 6:38am +4.1' and low tide follows quickly at 11:30am +3.1'.  It's a 2.3' SSW swell out of 195º and it was 1' to 2'.  Water clarity was amazing.  Probably 20' to 30'.

Scout really got into Halloween this year (#2).  She'll be a banana and next year we've suggested the same costume with goggles and she can go as a minion...
