No, Not Myanmar Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

So, lest you imagine all we did was chase elephants and watch flower parades, we also dedicated ourselves to finding some beaches and exploring those possibilities.  Koh Samui is on the lower Thai peninsula on the other side of where you would find Phuket, the better known beach.  What a lot of people didn't know was this was where they were shooting the latest "White Lotus" series.  Picturesque beaches, some surf trying near the rocks and marginal snorking, we hung out for a couple of days and reveled in the fact that we could get Cuban "Havana Club" and not the stuff they sell in the U.S. from the Dominican.  LoLa (#1) in some Coke bottle green water.

Clear this morning with 15 miles visibility under hazy skies.  Winds were offshore 1 to 4kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was 46.0 and the water was 53.4 still hanging in and around the coldest temps we've registered.  High tide was at 7:33am +5.5' and low tide will be at 2:36pm -0.8' for you sea glass hunters.  It's a west swell out of 268 at 2.3' and it leapt up to 3' to 4' in the water.  Rain in the forecast, so check the foul weather gear...

#2.  Sancho and the Professor awaiting those Cuba Libres...
