Hear The Mountains Calling Tuesday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
You can hear the mountains calling because they're right there on top of you! Steve Jones took this shot of this looming alp somewhere near Garmish-Partenkirschen. For this time of year there wasn't much snow, but it would be fun to go back when it's a winter wonderland. Write that down…
Ten miles visibility under hazy skies. They're actually talking about the possibility of rain later this morning. Get your galoshes out for tomorrow though. Winds are out of the southeast by 2 to 4kts and the sea surface is smooth. The air temperature is 64.3 and the water is 62.4. High tide was at 5:11am +5.9' and low tide will be at 12:41pm -0.3' for a pretty generous tidal swing. We have a west swell out of 266 deg true at 2.0' and it's 1' in the surfline and by all appearances would be a good day to try out your new Christmas surf stuff for a bit of a paddle. Doc has to check out his new helmet, you have to see if that new watch is really waterproof and the Professor will be figuring out which way his hood goes on.
Back late this evening. Brother's in the morning to discuss New Year's Eve plans. We don't want to drop the ball on this one… do we? It will drop anyway…
