Wild, Wet & Windy Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

In case you're wondering we're still playing Ride of the Valkyries this morning.  It's an earworm that just won't quit...  It goes along perfectly with all the sturm and drang going on with the weather.  Case in point are all the palm fronds that have been raining havoc throughout the area.  Woe to the folks who parked under some of those seventy five footers and had the sharp, hard fronds scratch their rides.  #1 & #2 Suggest some clean-up is in order...

Meanwhile the rain is cutting down the visibility to several hundred feet and the clouds are right on the deck.  Winds have been predominantly out of the east with peak gusts registered at 5:20am of 42kts!  Currently it's more in the 3 to 7kt range.  The sea surface is starting to rough up a bit.  The air temperature was 55.2º and the water is 62.8º, a precipitous drop for the faithful.  High tide is at 10:54am +5.1' and low tide will be at 6:25pm +0.0'.  It's a SSW swell out of 192º at 7.0' and the surf is a ragged and bumpy 4' to 6'.

The rain continues and conditions are predicted to continue to deteriorate.  So batten down the hatches, mull some wine, light the fire and have a warm delightful Christmas eve!  We'll be hitting the road mañana for Idaho, but we'll be in touch over the holidays.

Happy Holidays from the Surf & Culture Report!
