Four Star Friday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
Honestly one of the best days we've had this year! (#1) It was cloudy and a bit drizzly in places, but the waterworks stopped at sunrise and the offshores were blowing at 3 to 7kts. The sea surface had that offshore ripple that makes for some melodic chatter against your board. The air temp was 66.3º and the water dropped another degree to 67.5º. Low tide started off the morning at 5:00am +2.4' and the tide was going high to 5.2' at 11:32am. It was a west swell out of 261º at 3.5' and it was 3' to 5' and if you were patient you could get shacked for a few yards. There were a lot of stand out performances this morning, but we'd have to vote for Dylan Morrisroe's two in-and-out tube rides. A runner-up might have been Parker Murphy who is all of 4'11" who made it look twice as big.
Okay, the report will be sketchy over the next few weeks as we go to Japan and look for the best Mexican restaurant on Honshu Island. Will there be surf? If there is, we'll let you know. Sayonara and we'll see you on the 16th... (It happens that Jetski will be visiting as well and we'll be trying to intercept the boy as he makes his way to Kyoto. That would be worth a pic right there!
