Tortoise Shell Tuesday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
No question the Sruf Familia puts on a good birthday bash. Notwithstanding we have to hand it to the swimmer ladies, they also put on a great celebration for one of their leaders, Heather. (#1) She's peeking around the pole with the blue cap on. A constant smile and brimming with goodwill it's always great to see her in the morning. Happy Birthday Heather!
Partly cloudy with 4 miles visibility due to the marine haze. Winds were calm and the sea surface was smooth to glassy. The air was 66.0º and the water is 68.5º at the 46221 Santa Monica buoy. We paddled around the swimmer's tower buoy and it was reading a solid 70º. High tide was at 10:26am +5.5' and low tide will be at 4:53pm +0.7'. If you look you'll find a SSW swell out of 214º at 1.6' and it was 1' to 2'.
