No Not Lemmings Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Yes, they are marching in a nice straight line (#1), yes they are doggedly following the person in front of them, yes they are going to jump off the end of the pier, no they are NOT lemmings.  They are lifeguard cadets in training to be county guards.  Many of them are already state guards, but in this part of the world it's more prestigious to be a county guard rather than work for the state.  They all managed to hit the water...  

16 miles visibility under brilliant sunny skies.  Winds were light offshore 3 to 5kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 54.3º and the water is 60.8º.  High tide is at 8:09am +4.3' and low tide will be at 2:00pm +0.6'.  We have a SSW swell out of 201º at 2.6' and it was a solid 2' and breaking close to shore, but surfable according to Marco & the Professor.  

JuJu dropped her cell phone and was encouraged to take a shot from where it landed (#2).  Things were looking up...
