It was a perfect morning for yoga on the beach as Kristen Parker lead the class in a session on the beach (#1). Peaceful, introspective and centering she did an admiral job. But then...
We always have to return to Christiano's comment when the lady asked him if there were any sharks out there (in the ocean.) He said, "Yeah, well they're ALL out there ma'am." Except maybe this one who got hooked (#2) and was hauled to the beach by these knuckleheads who finally got the hook out and turned it back to the sea. Note: None of the kids in the class jumped in to help these bozos. They know how unpredictable a wild animal can be and there's no need to put yourself in harm's way.
So, did we go surfing? Well, it was cloudy and the wind was onshore 2 to 8kts. The sea surface had significant tack and was a bit churned up. The air temperature was 58.8º and the water is 62.6º. High tide is at 9:39am +4.8' and low tide will be at 3:35pm +0.3'. It's a 1.6' swell out of the SSW 200º and it's 1' on the sand... We didn't go surfing because the waves were lousy...
About an half hour later they caught another one! (or the same one who didn't learn the first time (#3)). One day you eat shark, the next day the shark eats you...
