Incredible Waves 2 Hours Away Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Okay, let's wrap up our Palm Springs Surf Awards party trip with a few more shots from the peanut gallery.  #1) No, it's not the Duke, it's actually Coach Frank channeling a bit of Jurassic energy.  You'd imagine he's taking off at Waimea with that stance, but hey, he was looking for style points!

No Hermosa parking had the crew descending on Sapphire on this chilly this gray morning with a low overcast and onshore winds 5 to 10kts.  Chopped things up quite a bit.  The air temp was 61.2º (who knows what the wind chill was!) and the water is 62.1º.  Low tide was a -0.4' at 9:24am and high tide follows at 4:36pm +4.1'.  It's a 3.3' SSW swell out of 195º and it was 2' to 3' in skinny water Sappharua...

In #2 we have our own Parker, hot mini-grom, setting for this jacking crystal blue tube.  You will note that in his mouth he is biting down on his Go-Pro.  Why get tubed if you can't record it?  In #3, arguably one of the best tubes of the session, he gets shacked, takes a picture of his tonsils and exits with his hair still perfect.  The crowd went wild!
