Exercise Your Mandate Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Cloudy this morning with 7 miles visibility.  Winds were onshore 5 to 7kts, freshening as the morning wears on.  The sea surface is bumptious.  The air temperature was 61.0º and the water was 61.9º.  Low tide was at 5:40am -0.5' and high tide crests at 12:31pm +3.3'.  It's a 3.6' SSW swell out of 201º and it's a weak 2' to 3' in the surfline.  Looked like this (#1) at checkout.  But it looked like this (#2) in Palm Springs...

From the World Meteorological Organization:
“We need to prepare for a potentially strong El Niño event, which will exacerbate drought and heavy rainfall and increase the risk of heat waves both on land and in the ocean,”
