Editor’s Note:  Many mornings when I return from either surfing or checking it out, Annie will say, “When you’re through with the Surf Report will you (insert task).”  Not sure there are many women who would put up with my obsession to track the surf and bring you (I hope) a bit of culture or humor to brighten your day before I work on the dishwasher.  The really amazing thing is that she’s been by my side keeping me (mostly) on track for 50 years today!  She is the smartest person I know, ace travel agent and has the most wicked sense of humor I’ve ever encountered.  If I can make her laugh, it’s truly funny.  I love her to bits and as I’m fond of saying, “If she said, “We’re going to hell.” I’d ask “Should I pack trunks?”

The misters are on in Boise this morning (#1)!  But there are low clouds and 9 miles visibility in the South Bay.  Winds are light offshore at 2 to 4kts and there’s sea surface sea surface is smooth.  It’s a pleasant 69.7º in the air and 72.5º in the water.  Low tide was early at 5:22am -0.3’ and high tide follows at 11:47am +4.1’.  The swell is straight out of the south 180º at 3.9’ and once again it is so parallel to our beaches that it’s only 2’ to 3’.

We’ll be heading up to McCall, Idaho and hanging out on the banks of Lake Payette.  We’ll give you a glimpse of lake life along with the South Bay surf conditions next week!

Lost Boys & Co... W hat has this man (#1) been smoking?  Or eating?  Well, that looks like a pozole mustache!  It is pozole season and the mustaches are in... V isibility was a cool 20 miles this morning under clear skies.  Winds were light offshore 1 to 5kts and the sea surface is smooth.  The air was a below-brisk 49.9 º and the water is 62.4 º .  Low tide started off the morning at 5:37am +2.1' and high tide was at 11:25am +5.1'.  It's a west swell out of 264 º at 3.0' and it held all the way to the beach (#3) with some corners for the discrete.  Conditions meshed pretty well for some good sessions. panorama, pre-sunrise, (#2) from the lifeguard headquarters to the end of PV.  Some of these winter morning make for spectacular sunrises...  A  ✠ "When the surf breaks, we'll fix it" The Professor!!

A lright good citizens!  So how do they come up with generic names for these wonder drugs?  Like this:   The assignment of a generic name, also known as an International Nonproprietary Name (INN), is a global effort coordinated by the World Health Organization (WHO) through its INN Programme. This program establishes unique and universally accepted names for pharmaceutical substances to avoid confusion and enhance patient safety. Generic names are designed to be distinctive in sound and spelling, avoiding similarity with existing trademarks or other drug names.  A bit onshore from the get-go, with winds in the 2 to 6kts range.  Made for some bump out there under cloudy skies.  It started out at 58.0 º  and honestly kept dropping for the early morning.  The water was marginally warmer at 61.5 º .  High tide was at 8:09am +3.5' and low tide will be at 1:13pm ...

Gays Of Hormuz Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co... T ired of hearing about the Straights of Hormuz... C loudy, gray (#1) and on shore winds 3 to 7kts.  The sea surface is a bit tacked.  The air temperature is 58.0 º  and the water has risen to 60.1 º  in an heroic attempt to lure us back into the sea.  One low tide at 10:31am +1.0'.  It's a 2.3' west swell out of 270 º  and it's an inconsistent 2' to 3' on some of the new sand bars.
