Too Much To Dream Last Night Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

When asked to pose against the bus (#1) these gentlemen initially struck this pose.  When asked why the Professor said, "Force of habit."

We could argue that it's the calm before the storm or it's the clam before the chowder.  Some puffy clouds up there with 10 to 15 miles visibility.  Winds were light offshore and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp was 60.0º and the water is 66.0º and we know this because we paddled out to the buoy and read it ourselves.  When we grabbed the rope to pull up the thermometer a bunch of shrimp, sea lice or sand fleas attacked our leg.  Clingy little buggers, it took some effort to get them off.  Sightly oogie.  Water clarity was 10 to 15ft.  High tide was at 5:15am +4.8' and low tide will follow at 11:00am +2.3'.  Currently it's a SSW swell out of 199º at 2.6' and it was 2' in the surfline.

(#2) It's a Narwhal tusk (tooth).  At the time it was our only means of defense.  Because of ongoing litigation we can't say anymore about that, but we can say that Narwhals are closely related to Beluga whales (Monodon Monoceros).  We thought Burnsy would be interested to know that.  Wait, our lawyer's on the line...
