Right On Time Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

More often than not we're wondering, "What happened to that swell we were expecting?"  Well, ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages it arrived right on time!  And if you were Will Allen (#1) you were making the most of some of those lefts.  Our ace still photographer Brendan Simmons caught him pulling into one of the better shaped waves.

The entire South Bay was going off under overcast skies that gave way to some morning sun.  15 miles visibility and a bit of haze off the breaking surf.  The air temp was 56.6º and the water is still holding at 65.5º.  High tide was macking at 9:19am +7.1' and Capitan Donaldo's Polio Pond was surging to the brim (#2).  The tide then dropped like a rock to -1.2' at 4:46pm for your skim boarding pleasure.  A west swell out of 268º at 5.2' hit the beaches bigger than that with 5' to 8' waves observed.

This is a 4 day weekend for the team so Monday won't have the class in the lineup.  Have a great long weekend!
