Veteran's Day Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Why are these people standing there perplexed?  Here (#1) we have the Professor, Lauri & Doc finally getting all of the kelp off of their boards and leashes.  Apparently they didn't learn from the day before and decided that the weeds had all disappeared.  Doc was the winner for the biggest captured patty weighing in at 43.5lbs.  On his last wave he took off, stood up and stayed exactly in the same place.

Foggy again this morning with less visibility than yesterday.  Winds were light onshore 1 to 3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was 53.9º and the water was 65.8º.  Low tide at 7:53am +3.3' and high tide is at 1:33pm.  A WSW swell out of 251º at 3.9' and it was pounding in at 4' to 5'.

The stars must've aligned because this morning we ended up with some pretty notorious characters at the beach (#2).  So fresh off of lobster scaring was 'Nupes, then Anton, Nate, Chris Miller (Chris is the only person we regularly include the last name, since there are 15 Chris's), Yonas, Jose, Sully, Lana & Doc.  We do this in November to rile our snowbound friends.
