It's Deep & Cold Too Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

In case you were thinking that the South bay is the only place with turbid water, take a look at this shot 'Nupes sent us from "C" St. in Ventura (#1).  That river that comes down from Lake Casitas regularly turns from a dry creek bed to a roaring cataract when it rains.  It's bordered by miles of farmland so you can expect plenty of fertilizer, chemicals and good old dirt to come careening down the channel.  That's why "C" St. is so good... most of the time.

Some scattered showers this morning with 10 to 15 miles visibility.  Winds are strong off from the ENE at 8kts.  The air is a chilly 52.1º and the water is 63.7º.  High tide is slowing things down at 7:20am +6.0' and low tide will be at 2:24pm -0.1'.  Still a lot of SW in this swell at 228º and it's 3' to 5' at most spots.  Really rained a lot last night, so take your chances.  If mom says go, go.  We're not your mom...

Been saving this pic (#2) that Chris "Toph" Miller took of Doc and Laurie last week.  Liking the black and white atmospheric look...
