When Wisdom Finally Arrives Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

As we are fond of saying summer comes to the South Bay one day at a time.  Kinda like sobriety, but with dark glasses.  And thank goodness for dark glasses.  Here (#1) we have our dashboard hula girl, Leilani Caputo.  You'll notice that a portion of her hula skirt is missing.  This happened when we turned on the bus's defroster and it blasted part of her skirt to smithereens.  There were little bits of grass skirt stuck in our face and mustache causing us to weave down Hermosa Blvd. at a high rate of speed.  Glasses saved the peepers.  Currently looking for a little hula skirt...

So even though it's November 26 and Thanksgiving is tomorrow it's another summer day!  20 miles visibility under clear skies.  Winds out of the SE at 3 to 4kts and the sea surface is smooth.  The air was 51.9º at checkout, warming quickly and the water is 64.4º.  Low tide was at 5:46am +3.5' and high tide is at 11:55am +4.7'.  There's a SW swell out of 235º at 2.3' and it was 2' in the surfline with a number of chargers not letting the size (or lack of) deter them.

(#2) "No Idling"  Not a request but a demand.  Pay attention!
