Okay, it's not what it looks like. What it looks like is that the Professor and his Great Granddaughter (#1) are having a snort in the man-cave while discussing the Seahawk roster for the next competition. What's really happening is that the Professor has just removed an entire tar pit from Scarlett's foot with his magic tar remover, while discussing the roster for the next RUHS competition. That's our story and we're sticking with it...
Overcast this morning with 5 miles visibility. Winds were light and variable out of the SW by 1 to 2kts. The sea surface was slightly tacked. The air temperature was 61.0º and the water was 63.3º. Low tide was at 7:36am -0.2' and high tide was at 2:08pm +2.8'. It was a drawn out SSW swell out of 202º at 2.6', hitting the line up at 3' to 4'. Kids, Dads, hodads and pedestrians we're trying but the standout of the morning was Brendan "Cat" Simmons. On it during the sweet spot of the morning with some of the lines beginning to peak on the new sand bars, he rode wave after wave making it look at times like Rincon and then inside Saladitas. On one outstanding right he rode half a block before stepping off on to the sand. Musing that he hadn't ridden a long board in a while, he made it look like he was giving a primer on the subject.
