Photo Finish Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...
From Coach Avery...
We had a historic weekend at the NSSA State Championships at Seaside Reef. For the first time in school history, we had both a male (Dylan Morrisroe) and a female (London Meza) shortboarder advance to the individual finals. In addition, for only the second time in program history, Sheamus Swift made the individual finals in longboard.  As a team, we also earned our highest overall finish ever — with Varsity placing 4th overall and JV placing 3rd overall.  (#1) Owen and Nico showing off the team trophies.
A pretty morning with 10 miles visibility under mostly clear skies.  Calm winds and a rolling sea surface.  The air temperature was 53.3º and the water is hovering around 59.5º.  High tide was at 8:48am +5.8' and low tide was at 3:17pm -0.7'.  It's that persistent west swell out of 263º at 3.9' and it was a bit bigger with outsides about ear high.
Supposed to blow on Thursday and then turn around on Friday.  Checking to see if there's going to be a contest.  We'll let you know
