In some of the most fun waves we've had all year, we had another successful contest, defeating El Segundo. Our men's team won 62–32, and our women's team won 29–13. We had many standout performances, and it was great to watch everyone compete at such a high level.
Below are the standouts from today:
Heat 1
1st – Nico Bobo
2nd – Zach Shore
Heat 2
1st – Hunter Sleeis
2nd – Leif Anderson
Heat 3
1st – London Meza (13.54 – Highest heat total of the day)
2nd – Keani Honda-Snow
Heat 4 (Longboard)
2nd – Sheamus Swift
3rd – Stone Erikson
Heat 5 (Longboard)
1st – Soryn Preston
2nd – Keani Honda-Snow
3rd – Juju Sleeis
Here (#1) are Soryn and JuJu getting pumped for their heat.
Good spring conditions this morning with a few clouds and 10 miles visibility.  Winds were calm and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was 52.2Āŗ and the water is 59.7Āŗ.  One tide, low at 12:07pm +0.7'.  It's a 3.0' SSW swell out of 192Āŗ and it was about that in the surf line.  Doc, Aaron and the Professor managed to get a few and then relented as the wind picked up.
Here we were minding our own business cruising along the Esplanade and we come across this citizen exercising his right to drive horseflesh down the street (#2).  Needless to say we could barely contain ourselves as we reined up along side of him.  We said, "Looking like you're all beer and skittles this morning!
He said:  "Yep"
Us:  You aiming to do some wranglin'
Him:  Nope.
Us:  Best be careful you don't chew gravel, that trail's slick...
Him:  Yep...
Us:  Well, weez gonna gin out and giddy-up.  Y'all come back real soon...
Him:  Adios!

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
