Fish & Poi Friday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
Raining this morning in Ko'Olina, but yesterday was fabulous day with some SUP-ing in the south side of Pokai' Bay. We were all set to do a bit of surf riding when the lifeguards start putting up these signs (#1). We decided that if we were SUP-ing the sharks could only get our toesies. Bruddah Miloe had a long session, exercising his feets and balance and looking good. We all were so stoked we forgot to take his picture! Maybe today…
The South Bay looks sunny with good visibility all the way to the smog line. Winds were out of the east, calm to 4kts. The sea surface has a bit of a bump. The air was 56.0º and the water is holding at 61.3º. High tide was at 6:42am +6.5' and low tide will follow at 2:09pm -1.6'. There's a strong west swell out of 266º at 4.3' and it's a thumping 3' to 5'. Maybe a better chance at Topaz or the hill for mo' bettah shape…
Coming back on Monday. Hoping our custom calendar order is in! If you ordered one you know who you are. Tidelines initially sent us the wrong order and when we tried to send them back, they said keep'um! So we have some generic photo calendars with the South Bay tides up for grabs. First come first served. I'll have them at Brother's on Tuesday.
Aloha!
