What we have here (above) is Doc drawing our attention to a hapless paddler who, first, jumped in by the tower and is now somewhere near 4th St.  He then proceeded to get caught in a rip, pushed into an outside set that tested his leash and his resolve. He managed to get back in to shore, but needed a few minutes to gather himself...

Jumbled conditions from the winds last night and they're predicted to blow again today and this evening.  Currently its anywhere from 6 to 20kts and the sea surface is chopped up.  The air was chilly this morning at 47.5º and the water is 62.4º, but that might drop with these winds.  Low tide at 6:46am +2.1' and high tide follows at 112:17pm +4.2'.  It's a blustery west swell out of 268º at 6.6' and it looks like about 4' to 7' with the wind knocking down some of the peaks.  Swell looks strong though and if the winds change it could be good...

Here we have Doc on his soap box preaching to the choir.  Amen...
