Lost Boys & Co... L ots of gray this morning but Pete managed to get a few.  Enough to get us in the water!  Kinda chilly, though the numbers don't look particularly cool...  5 Miles visibility and a little drizzle in some spots.  Winds were light onshore and then freshened to 5kts and bumped up the water.  The air temperature was 68 and the water is 71.4.  High tide was at 6:41am +3.6' and low tide will be at 10:56am +2.7'.  We have a SSW swell out of 207ยบ at 3.0' and it was too south to hit us square.  It was 2' and kinda, sorta sloppy... W e're out until the 4th of October!  Keep things under control...  Or not... ✠ "When the surf breaks, we'll fix it" The Professor!!

Another Labor Day Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co... I n photo #1 we have Jetski indulging in his bi-annual tri-fecta.  That would be an ear of perfectly roasted corn, a fresh lemonade and a Santa Maria Tri-tip sandwich from Charla's.  Bon appetito! C loudy, overcast this morning with 6 miles visibility.  Winds were light out of the SSW and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 67.5 and the water is 72.0 at the buoy.  In any other year this would be the high warm water temperature, but this year everyone is putting on shorties because it WAS 80!  High tide was at 5:12am +3.2' and low tide was at 9:16am +2.7' for merely a .5' difference between the high and the low.  We have a SSW swell out of 200ยบ true at 2.3' and the waves were in the 1' to 2' range.  Currently, there's a slight bump at the buoy, but it's not overly promising...
