Lost Boys & Co... P hoto #1.  It's alright to stick your surfboard out the window like this, if the road looks like the one in photo #2.  The bigger problem might be the science fair sized, rocket shaped antenna that is sitting right in the middle of the window.  Perfect for staying in contact with Saturn, not so much for driving... Puerto Escondido, Mexico... A beautiful morning with clear skies and 20+miles visibility.  Winds were lightly offshore at 2.1kts and the sea surface was glassy.  The air temperature was 65.3˚ and the water was 67.8˚ and as clear as it gets.  You could see the bottom at 20+ feet and the waves looked like liquid glass.  We watched Tandis Morgan and the Capitán through the little panes as they zipped along the Hermosa Beach break.  Low tide was at 6:49am +2.8' and high tide will be at 1:34pm +5.0'.  We have a WSW sell out of 255˚ at 3.0' and it wasn't quite that big at most spots.  It supposed to get better as the week progresses o

Y ou could skim board on this stretch of beach forevers!  Just think if you had a kite and a skim board!  Only problem is that you might get going a bit too fast.  In the afternoon the winds get up to 35kts on most summer days.  You make one mistake and you find yourself in Western Sahara or Northern Mali...  Essoueira, Morocco...  T iny bit cooler this morning with 62.6˚ air at checkout under clear skies.  20+ miles visibility and the water was 70.0˚ and winds were calm.  Low tide was at 5:57am +2.4' and high tide will be at 12:31pm +5.2'.  We have a smart SW swell out of 224˚ at 3.0' and it's just like that in the lineup...  ✠ "When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."  The Professor!!

Lost Boys & Co... T he first thing you should know is that this isn't a swimming pool.  No, this is what is currently referred to as a " water feature ."  They used to be called fountains or pools, but now they're water features.  Floating in the corner of this water feature (which just happens to be located on the roof of the Jonathan Boutique Hotel in Old Mazatlan) is our own James Wheatley.  He is shown trying to talk the two women from Oaxaca seated across from him into the pool.  You will note the waiter on the far left, who has never dealt with a situation quite like this before.  He doesn't know whether to get him another beer, ask him if he wants a menu or tell him to remove himself from the pool, err... water feature. A bit of hazy sun this morning with 17miles visibility.  Winds were light out of the south at 3.3kts and the sea surface was mainly smooth.  The air temp was 73.2˚ and the water is a very nice 72.0˚.  Low tide was early at 5:45am +1.1

S lightly hazy this morning with 15 miles visibility and clear skies.  We have light winds out of the WNW by 2kts and the sea surface is still smooth.  The air temp was 72.6˚ and the water is 72.1˚ at the buoy and a couple of degrees warmer in the surfline.  High tide will be at 11:21am +6.0' and low tide will follow at 5:47pm +0.2'.  We have a swell out of 192˚ SSW at 3.0' and since it's too south we're getting about 1' and poor...
