Throughput Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Despite the fact that these are a couple of credible surf shots, we were attracted to the UFO's.  In this case Unidentified Floating Objects or in the case of Wheatley's wave an actual UFO or flying object.  Yep, take a look at the far right and you'll see what appears to be a fish doing some low level recon a couple of feet above the surface.  When Wheatley's doing his thing, he's got everyone's attention, above and below the surface...

Slightly hazy this morning with 15 miles visibility and clear skies.  We have light winds out of the WNW by 2kts and the sea surface is still smooth.  The air temp was 72.6˚ and the water is 72.1˚ at the buoy and a couple of degrees warmer in the surfline.  High tide will be at 11:21am +6.0' and low tide will follow at 5:47pm +0.2'.  We have a swell out of 192˚ SSW at 3.0' and since it's too south we're getting about 1' and poor...

Then there's this wider angle shot of José covering some pretty impressive real estate.  But further out to the right you'll notice a rather large black fin breaking the surface.  This one turned out to be a bull dolphin, darker and larger than the ones we see around here.  Always make you take a second look...  Just to make sure...
