Firebug In The House Of Good Taste Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

From the "Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest..."
As he girded himself against the noxious, sulfurous fumes that belched from the chasm in preparation for descent into the bowels of the mountain where mighty pressure and unimaginable heat made rock run in syrupy rivers, Bob paused to consider the unlikely series of events that had led him to become the Great God Vulcan's proctologist. — Stan Hunter Kranc, State College, PA
Winner: Adventure
"Life is a stage"...  and you can see Ché is making the most of it.  The only problem is that the stage is right over the stairway going down to the men's necessary room...  Wait, maybe that's a good thing... Brings out some spectacular moves on their way downstairs...

A beautiful morning, with a little less heat and partly cloudy skies.  15+miles visibility and winds are out of the SSE at 2.3kts, making for some smooth sea surface.  The air temp is 67.5˚ and the water dropped a bit to 66.9˚ from all that wind.  High tide was at 8:02am +4.4' and low tide will follow at 1:26pm +2.1'.  We have an excellent SSW swell out of 212˚ at 4.3' and depending on your choice of venues you can go from 3' to head-high...  Choose wisely...

There's always the question, do you go for the first one or see if the second one is better?  The Professor chooses wrong this time...
"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
