A ride along the bike path will give you a hint of where folks like to head when the mercury rises.  We haven't seen any recent numbers, but this summer has to be up there on the all-time visits to the beach...

Windy from the get-go this morning and a lot of guys at loose ends trying to make it look better.  Some clouds, but mostly clear and 20+miles visibility.  Those winds were from the SW at 5 to 10kts and were ramping up in the afternoon.  Sea surface was bumpy to choppy.  The air temp was 72.2˚ and the water was 66.4˚, with a bit of upwelling in evidence.  High tide was at 7:33am +4.2' and low tide will follow at 12:44pm +2.5'.  So there's still not much tidal differentiation, but getting ready to flip for the Autumnal Equinox.  We had a 5.2' SSW swell out of 212˚ and that translated to 3' to 5' at most spots...

No scheduled Happy Hour Friday, but some loose discussion about the Buffalo Fire Dept. on Saturday for their summer rock wrap-up with Flashbak...  Outside on the plaza...

Of course at the other end of the spectrum is this spot in Mexico, where the only person José had to worry about was Ken Meliss and he was a-ways down the line.  He was equally hard to miss in those Day-Glo® trunks.  The trunks were $3.99, the batteries were $65...
