Lost Boys & Co... H ope everyone had a joyous Christmas and prepping for a happy new year! Y ou have to remember where we are here...  It was 41.6˚ in Redondo this morning and it was damned cold.  So in Ireland 41˚ would be balmy and in Alaska it's t-shirt weather, but we're in So  Cal and it's freeze-ass.  Here we have two photos of winter Southern California style.  #1 is the remainder of a bucket of ice we threw out last night after the Christmas festivities.  It was still there at 7am in the morning! C lear skies this morning and the winds were out of the NNE by 5.5kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was the chilly 41.6˚ we mentioned before and the water was down a degree to 63.1˚.  Maybe the warmest water we've had for Christmas since we've been recording the temps.  Low tide was at 6:00am +2.1' and high tide will follow at 11:50am +5.1'. #2 is a shot of our fledgling maple tree in the front yard with it's last leaf clinging for all it

A nother spectacular summer-like day and if you haven't been counting, only two more until Christmas!  20+ miles visibility under clear skies and calm winds and smooth to glassy waters.  The air temperature was 54.2˚, warming up nicely through the day and the water was 64.6˚.  High tide was at 9:17am +6.6' and low tide will be at 4:27pm -1.2' for your sea glass hunting pleasure.  We have a 3.6' WSW swell out of 248˚ and it seemed to be bigger than the advertised swell height.  We're calling it 3' to 5' outside and we're sticking with it...   ✠ "When the surf breaks, we'll fix

G reat, grand and glorious day with 20+ miles visibility and only a few scattered clouds.  Winds were off by 10.0kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 58.3˚ and the water is 64.2˚ and blowing people's minds for December!  High tide was at 8:34am +6.7' and low tide will be at 3:45pm -1.3'.  We have a west swell out of 267˚ at 4.3' and it was 3' to 5' at most spots...
